The Operation and function of ALL, Ignition Interlocks providers are set to operate under specifications set by the State of Alaska, Departments of corrections.
 Once your initial paperwork is completed and a deposit is made, an Interlock System is installed. The system requires a once-a-month download by a service agent. Interlock devices are required to document and store the daily activities of the driver. Each ignition start/stop, and run time, is logged onto the interlock computer. |

The driver MUST BLOW a breath sample to start the car. With a sample less then .02 the vehicle will start. To ensure sobriety a retest is required of the driver every 15-30 minutes until the vehicle is shut off. A 2-minute free start time is allowed. If the vehicle is not restarted in the 2 minute free start time, the testing process must be repeated.
Violations happen. We understand they occur. EVERYONE gets one.
Mouthwash is over .02 but clears in 15 minutes. BAC does not. Forgot the car is running? 3 missed tests is considered a retest refusal and constitutes a violation.
